A leading multi-sector design consultancy is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its Cardiff studio. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and technically skilled professional to take ownership of the delivery of residential projects across all RIBA stages. The practice works across the residential, commercial, education, and leisure sectors, offering a collaborative and design-led environment where technical expertise is highly valued.

The successful Architectural Technician will:

• Lead the production of detailed technical drawings and construction packages
• Provide technical leadership across all RIBA stages, with a focus on stages 3-5
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant housing standards
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to maintain design and delivery quality
• Mentor and support junior team members
• Manage project timelines and ensure smooth project progression
• Contribute to sustainable and compliant design solutions

The successful Architectural Technician will have:

• A degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology
• Significant post-qualification experience delivering residential projects
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and materials
• Excellent understanding of planning policy, building regulations, and sustainability principles
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience leading technical design and managing team contributions
