Architectural Technologist to join their growing team. The successful Architectural Technologist will ideally have experience within the residential sector, although this is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist with around 2-5 years' experience to join a busy and thriving practice with a strong pipeline of work.

The ideal Architectural Technologist will have a good balance of technical and design ability, with experience working through the planning process particularly advantageous. The practice is looking for someone who is keen to take on increasing responsibility, with the opportunity to become involved in project running and client interaction as their experience develops. Good knowledge of Revit would be advantageous, although candidates with relevant experience using alternative software will also be considered.

Daily responsibilities will include producing high-quality drawings, preparing planning information, coordinating consultant information and assisting with the delivery of projects across a variety of RIBA stages. As the successful Architectural Technician / Technologist develops within the practice, there will also be opportunities to take on greater responsibility for project delivery and job running.

Architectural Technologist Overview

  • Produce architectural and technical drawings to a high standard
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications
  • Work alongside Architects, consultants and other members of the design team
  • Assist with coordinating consultant information and construction packages
  • Prepare technical drawings and specifications
  • Work across a variety of RIBA stages
  • Liaise with the design team and wider project stakeholders
  • Assist with project delivery and take increasing responsibility for job running
  • Work across a variety of exciting residential projects

Architectural Technologist Requirements

  • Relevant experience, ideally 2-3 years' experience as an Architectural Technician / Technologist
  • Recently qualified candidates or those with approximately 1-2 years either side of this level will also be considered
  • Prior residential experience is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Good understanding of the architectural design and construction process
  • Planning experience is highly advantageous
  • Good balance of technical and design ability
  • Good knowledge of Revit would be advantageous
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to project delivery
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a wider design team
  • Keen to develop towards project running responsibilities
  • Live in or around Leeds
