Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (flexible, depending on level of experience


About the Practice
This is a full-service architectural practice with a partner-led approach, guiding projects from initial concept and feasibility through to technical execution and completion. The practice has built its reputation on delivering high-quality, functional design across the care home, healthcare, residential, and industrial sectors, earning repeat business from over 75% of its clients, some of whom it has worked with for thirty years.

A Junior Architectural Technician is now sought to join the growing team.

The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career in architectural technology to develop their skills within a supportive, experienced team working on real, varied projects. The successful candidate will get hands-on exposure across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to technical delivery, while being mentored by senior technicians and architects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing technical drawings and detailed packages under the guidance of senior team members
  • Supporting the preparation of planning and building regulations submissions
  • Using CAD/BIM software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit) to develop drawings and models
  • Assisting with site surveys and site visits
  • Helping ensure designs meet current building regulations and construction standards
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and consultants across care home, residential, healthcare, and industrial projects
  • Learning and applying best practice while building toward greater responsibility

Candidate Requirements

  • A relevant qualification (or currently studying) in Architectural Technology, or a similar relevant discipline
  • Some working knowledge of CAD software (Revit experience is a plus, but not essential)
  • A genuine interest in building construction, detailing, and how buildings go together
  • Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A proactive, can-do attitude

Candidates across a range of experience levels will be considered, from those just starting out to those with a year or two under their belt, with salary and role scope adjusted to match.
