Main Responsibilities
About the Role
As Area Manager, you'll lead a portfolio of Oxfam shops and online retail operations, ensuring they thrive commercially while embodying Oxfam's commitment to equality, inclusion and feminist leadership principles.
Working closely with Shop Managers, staff and volunteers, you'll create an environment where people feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed. Your leadership will directly influence not only business performance but also the experience, wellbeing and development of the people within your teams.
You'll be responsible for:
- Driving sustainable growth across shops and online retail channels.
- Leading, coaching and developing a diverse team of managers, staff and volunteers.
- Creating an inclusive culture where everyone can contribute and thrive.
- Managing area budgets and delivering strong commercial performance.
- Championing excellent customer and volunteer experiences.
- Supporting teams through change with clarity, empathy and confidence.
- Building strong partnerships with support functions and stakeholders across the organisation.
- Contributing to the strategic direction and future development of Oxfam Retail.
