Salary – £80,000 - £85,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 40 hours per week
Location & Postcode – Home-based (Southeast Area)
As an Area Manager at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for leading and managing regional operations to deliver safe, efficient and compliant services. You’ll ensure high standards of health, safety and environmental performance, while driving operational and financial success across multiple sites.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Leading and managing regional operations to deliver revenue, profit and service targets
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards across all sites
- Monitoring operational performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Providing leadership, mentoring and direction to Contract and Site Managers
- Managing budgets and ensuring effective financial control across regional contracts
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, regulators and stakeholders
- Supporting business development opportunities to maximise commercial performance
- Ensuring sites are appropriately resourced and operating efficiently
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring all staff are trained and competent
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in a senior operational management role
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering financial and operational targets
- Experience of managing multi-site operations within a regulated environment
- A strong leader who can motivate and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to drive change and continuous improvement across operations
- Financially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ideally, experience within waste, utilities, manufacturing or a similar industry
