Area Sales Manager
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join a true brand leader within the building materials market sector.
Covering an established territory across North West England and North Wales, you'll work closely with national and independent builders' merchants, buying groups and trade customers. Your focus will be on developing existing customer relationships, increasing sales and helping customers maximise the performance of a trusted product portfolio.
This is a varied field-based role where you'll regularly visit customers across your territory, deliver branch trade days, improve point-of-sale displays, support promotional campaigns alongside national account colleagues and provide engaging product training to merchant sales teams. You'll also use a CRM system to manage customer activity, identify opportunities and plan account development.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships and delivering outstanding customer service. You will already be working in field sales or territory management within the building materials industry or other trade distribution environments such as electrical wholesale.
You'll also have:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commercial and analytical approach to account development
- A full UK driving licence
- Flexibility for occasional overnight stays

- £40,000-£45,000 basic salary
