The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially driven Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth across a designated territory.

This is a strategic field sales role focused on identifying and converting opportunities while developing profitable, long-term relationships with new and existing stockists.

Operating on a fully remote basis, this role requires an individual who is highly organised, self-motivated and disciplined, with exceptional time and diary management skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Selling into Builders’ Merchants, Specialist Distributors, Roofing Merchants, Electrical Wholesale and similar customers
• Create strong account relationships, recognising opportunities and maximising potential
• Identify new products and market gaps
• Account and product evaluation with key accounts
• Generating bespoke product profiles
• Generating structured business plans and driving them forward
• Negotiating and applying new discounts on new and existing ranges
• Promoting web ordering
• Merchandising and training when required
• Attending various trade show & exhibitions
• Ensuring the CRM software is used to its highest potential and all notes and contact information is up to date at all times

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Previous sales experience with a proven track record is essential
• Confident & outgoing personality
• High level of communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills & commercial awareness of opportunities
• Good IT skills with high competency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work as part of a team and assist colleagues when required
