Art Teacher Specification

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and skilled Art Teacher to join our vibrant Expressive Arts Department on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students across Art & Design.

Requirements

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in Art & Design
• Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3-KS4)
• Ability to deliver practical and theory-based lessons with clear progression
• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
• Passion for the Arts and commitment to fostering student creativity

The Role:

• Teach Art & Design across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Deliver engaging, creative, and practical lessons that capture students' imagination
• Plan and prepare high-quality learning resources that encourage artistic exploration
• Support students in developing technical skills, creativity, and confidence
• Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to promote progress
• Contribute to the culture of creativity within the department and wider school
