Your New Company
Hays are proud to be working in partnership with a leading social housing organisation to recruit an ASB Officer on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a proactive community safety team dedicated to tackling anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches, and neighbourhood issues across the Heartlands area. Based from the St Helens office you will work closely with residents, partner agencies, and internal teams to deliver safer, stronger communities.
Your New Role
As an ASB Officer, you will manage a caseload of complex and serious anti-social behaviour cases, including harassment, hate crime, domestic abuse, and other tenancy breaches. You will be responsible for progressing cases through investigation and enforcement stages, ensuring effective interventions are delivered and legal action is pursued where appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing serious and persistent ASB and tenancy breach cases from investigation through to resolution.
- Conducting interviews, gathering evidence, taking witness statements, and preparing cases for legal action.
- Working closely with legal teams in the preparation and service of notices and court documentation.
- Attending court hearings and providing evidence where required.
- Supporting Housing and Neighbourhood Officers with case management advice and evidence gathering.
- Liaising with police, local authorities, mediation services, and support agencies to achieve positive outcomes for customers and communities.
- Ensuring vulnerable residents receive appropriate support throughout investigations.
- Maintaining accurate records and case notes on housing management systems.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous experience managing anti-social behaviour, tenancy enforcement, housing management, or community safety cases.
- Strong knowledge of ASB legislation, tenancy enforcement processes, and legal remedies.
- Experience preparing evidence and supporting court proceedings.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong report-writing and case management abilities.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload and prioritise effectively.
- Experience working with vulnerable customers and challenging situations.
- Good IT skills and experience using housing or case management systems.

- Hourly rate between 18.82 to 24.36 depending on PAYE or Umbrella
