Asbestos Analyst

Randstad Construction and Property

Randstad are partnering with one of the UK's fastest-growing safety and compliance businesses to find a dedicated Asbestos Analyst. Our client isn't looking for someone to just blend into the background. They want a trusted professional who genuinely enjoys being out in the field and taking charge to ensure site safety. If you thrive in a dynamic role where your analytical expertise directly impacts abatement projects, and you want an employer that rewards your hard work with a completely transparent, stress-free package, this could be the perfect fit.

Location: Midlands

Salary: £33,000 - £38,000

Package:

  • 25 days holiday (plus 1 day per year of service)
  • Stakeholder pension, Life cover, an Employee Assistance Programme, and Health policy

What you'll actually be doing day-to-day:

  • You'll travel to various client premises to competently undertake technical asbestos inspections and testing.
  • You'll manage abatement schemes, ensuring everything aligns with legislative guidance, LARC, PoW, and internal RAMs.
  • You'll liaise directly with clients and licensed removal operatives to successfully complete four-stage clearances and site re-occupations.
  • You'll produce highly accurate, factual test reports, method statements, and site plans.
  • You will help train up newer staff, provide proactive feedback to management on site conditions, and offer clear, impartial advice to build strong client relationships.
  • You'll stay on top of your own quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) schemes and take proper care of your allocated vehicle and equipment.

What you need to bring to the table:

  • Must hold a BOHS P403/P404 (or the RSPH equivalent) and have valid site access accreditations, like a CSCS card.
  • Highly desirable: BOHS P406, S301, or a Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CoCA)
  • A background of solid, hands-on experience performing analytical duties across different site environments.
  • Highly methodical mentality, comfortable working under your own initiative, and armed with a flexible, problem-solving "can-do" attitude.

The highs of the role:

  • No Travel-Time Headaches: Forget meticulously calculating door-to-door hours; your travel time is already baked right into your base salary to keep things simple.
  • Fair Overtime: Enjoy a straightforward, fixed-rate structure for any weekend or night shifts.
  • Your Ride, Your Choice: Total flexibility to choose a standard company car (like a hybrid estate), a commercial van, or opt for a cash allowance.
  • Real Career Progression: Our client has a fantastic culture of promoting from within, meaning you can build a long-term, rewarding career with a management team that truly understands what you do.
