Description
- Lead on the management and delivery of asbestos compliance activities across residential housing stock.
- Undertake and commission asbestos surveys within occupied and void properties.
- Provide technical guidance and expert advice on asbestos-related matters.
- Review survey findings and determine appropriate remedial actions.
- Oversee asbestos removal and remediation contractors, including quality inspections and site audits.
- Attend project planning and mobilisation meetings with contractors and surveyors.
- Manage asbestos-related complaints and resident enquiries professionally and sensitively.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and asbestos registers.
- Produce performance reports, monitor KPIs and identify compliance risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry best practice.
- Support procurement and management of specialist asbestos contractors and consultants.
- Contribute towards policy development, service improvement and compliance strategies.
Profile
You'll ideally possess:- BOHS P402 qualification.
- BOHS P405 qualification.
- Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and housing compliance requirements.
- Experience undertaking, commissioning or managing asbestos surveys.
- Experience working within social housing, local authorities, property services or regulated environments.
- Ability to analyse compliance data and produce meaningful reports.
- Excellent stakeholder management and resident engagement skills.
- Experience managing specialist contractors and compliance programmes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the portfolio.
