Day Rate: £250-£300 per day, depending on experience and role
Contract: Initial contract with potential to go permanent after 3 months
Astute People are currently recruiting for experienced Asbestos Surveyors and Asbestos Analysts to join an established, independent asbestos consultancy due to a strong and ongoing workload across London, the M25 and wider South East.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent contract work with the potential to move into a permanent position if it's the right fit for both sides.
The Role
You'll be predominantly field-based, working across a mixture of commercial and domestic properties. The business currently has a strong pipeline of work, with contractors consistently busy and additional resource required to keep up with demand.
Asbestos Surveyors will be responsible for:
- Carrying out asbestos surveys across a range of commercial and domestic properties
- Identifying and assessing asbestos-containing materials
- Taking samples and producing accurate reports
- Working in line with UKAS, H&S and company procedures
Asbestos Analysts will be responsible for:
- Air monitoring and fibre monitoring
- 4-stage clearance testing
- Producing accurate reports and maintaining client relationships
- Working in line with UKAS requirements and relevant legislation
About You
Surveyors:
- P402 or RSPH equivalent
- Minimum 12 months' asbestos surveying experience
- Experience across a range of property types
Analysts:- P403 & P404 or RSPH equivalent
- Relevant asbestos analysis experience
- Experience with air monitoring and 4-stage clearances
For both positions, you'll need a full UK driving licence, good H&S awareness and strong communication skills.
Dual-qualified Surveyor/Analysts are particularly encouraged to apply.
