About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced P402 Asbestos Surveyor to join a growing asbestos consultancy, covering commercial properties across the Midlands.

This is a field-based role suited to a confident and professional surveyor who can work independently across a variety of commercial environments. You’ll be responsible for carrying out asbestos surveys, identifying potential asbestos-containing materials and producing clear, accurate reports for clients.

You’ll work with a range of commercial properties, ensuring surveys are completed thoroughly and in line with relevant legislation, guidance and company standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out asbestos surveys across a range of commercial properties.
• Undertake Management Surveys and Refurbishment & Demolition Surveys where appropriately qualified and experienced.
• Identify and assess suspected asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
• Collect samples safely and in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Complete detailed site notes, photographs and survey documentation.
• Produce accurate, professional asbestos survey reports.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and relevant stakeholders.
• Manage your own workload, appointments and travel across the Midlands.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times.
• Ensure all surveys are completed in accordance with current legislation, guidance and industry best practice.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced asbestos surveyor with strong attention to detail and a professional approach to client work.

You’ll ideally have:

• BOHS P402 – Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos qualification.
• Previous experience working as an asbestos surveyor.
• Experience surveying commercial properties.
• A good understanding of asbestos legislation, HSE guidance and industry best practice.
• Experience undertaking asbestos sampling and surveying.
• Strong report-writing and IT skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• A professional, methodical and safety-conscious approach.
• A full, valid UK driving licence.

Additional asbestos qualifications such as P403/P404 would be advantageous but are not essential.
