Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team covering Nottingham and the wider East Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor looking to join a respected consultancy offering a varied workload, long-term stability, and genuine career progression. The role provides an excellent balance of work, with approximately 70% domestic and 30% commercial projects, alongside structured scheduling and strong operational support.



THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will carry out asbestos surveys across a portfolio of predominantly domestic properties, with some commercial and mixed-use sites throughout the East Midlands.

Working independently and as part of an experienced team, you will deliver high-quality surveying services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Carrying out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
* Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a range of domestic and commercial properties
* Working across predominantly domestic properties with some commercial sites
* Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports
* Managing your own workload effectively across multiple client sites
* Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
* Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures



WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

* BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited consultancy
* Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation
* Ability to manage your workload independently
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
* Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work

* £38,000 - £43,000 salary (depending on experience)
