Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team in Cannock.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join a respected environmental consultancy delivering high-quality asbestos services across the Midlands. The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential, and public sector properties, benefiting from a structured workload, strong operational support, and opportunities for long-term career development.



THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys across Cannock and the surrounding Midlands region.

Working independently with the support of an experienced operations team, you will deliver accurate and professional surveying services while ensuring all work complies with HSG264, current asbestos legislation, and HSE guidance.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264

  • Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a range of property types

  • Producing accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey reports

  • Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential, and public sector sites

  • Managing your own diary and workload efficiently

  • Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams

  • Maintaining accurate electronic survey records and documentation

  • Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance



WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • BOHS P402 qualification (essential)

  • Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor

  • Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation

  • Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Strong communication and report-writing skills

  • Ability to manage your workload independently

  • Professional, organised, and reliable approach to work
