Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Opportunity
Workchain are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established Derby-based Health & Safety Consultancy with a strong national presence. Operating for over 25 years, our client provides specialist services across Health & Safety, CDM Consultancy, and Asbestos Management.
Their diverse client portfolio spans a wide range of sectors including Property, Retail, Education, Industrial, Rail, Healthcare, Nuclear, Residential, and Leisure. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
The Role
Based from the company's Head Office in Derby, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality asbestos surveying services for clients across the UK. The role requires regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
Key responsibilities include:

Conducting Management and Refurbishment/Demolition Asbestos Surveys

Carrying out annual re-inspections of known Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs)

Preparing, reviewing and quality-checking asbestos survey reports
-
Delivering asbestos awareness briefings where required

Ensuring surveys are completed in accordance with current industry standards and regulations

Maintaining strong client relationships and providing professional advice
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

P402 qualification (or equivalent)

Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Lead Asbestos Surveyor

Excellent organisational and communication skills
-
Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to meet client requirements and changing project demands
-
Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home on a regular basis

Confidence working in a variety of environments including offices, construction sites, care homes and industrial facilities

GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C / Level 4 or above) or equivalent
-
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook
-
Full UK driving licence preferred
