Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?

A specialist school in Reading is seeking a caring and enthusiastic ASD Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, or Education.

As an ASD Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with ASD.
• Help students develop communication, social, and independence skills.
• Support students with emotional regulation and managing daily routines.
• Encourage engagement in learning and school activities.
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Patient, compassionate, and understanding.
• Confident communicating with young people.
• Passionate about supporting individuals with additional needs.
• Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, therapy, or education.

Job Details

• Location: Reading
• Setting: Specialist/SEN School
• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay: £93-£110 per day
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
• Contract: Full-time
