Assembler/Tester (Double Day Shift)
Location: Stroud
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 + Quarterly Bonus
Shift Pattern - Double Day Shift (Rotating)
Early Shift
Monday - Thursday: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
Friday: 6:00 am - 11:30 am
Late Shift
Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Friday: 11:30 am - 5:00 pm

THOMAS Professional are currently recruiting for a skilled Assembler/Tester to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Stroud on a Double Day Shift pattern.

Role Responsibilities
As an Assembler/Tester, your responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical assembly of precision-engineered valve products using assembly tools and equipment
- Carrying out pressure testing using high-pressure test cells
- Building and testing products in line with engineering procedures and specifications
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Completing quality inspections and ensuring products meet company standards
- Recording production and testing documentation accurately
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and health & safety
- Working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to achieve production targets
- Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining an organised, efficient work area
The Person
The successful Assembler/Tester will ideally have:
- Previous mechanical assembly and testing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience working with hydraulic or pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience carrying out pressure testing or functional testing (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A proactive and reliable approach with a strong focus on health and safety
