We now have opportunities to join our business that is going to be newly located in Aylesford, ME20. Whilst we are in this transitional period, we may require flexibility in working between the Reading and Aylesford sites - with transport and accommodation being covered throughout this time.
What you'll be doing
As an Assembly Operator, you'll play a key role in building high-quality, complex products that meet customer expectations and production targets. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll contribute to a safe, efficient, and continuous improvement-focused manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will:

Assemble complex products in line with production schedules, quality standards and work instructions.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily production targets and business objectives.

Read, understand and follow technical instructions, drawings and established assembly procedures.

Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process, reporting any non-conformances, defects or equipment issues through the appropriate channels.

Use a variety of hand tools, equipment and machinery safely and effectively.

Support preventive maintenance activities as required.

Help maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in line with site standards.

Share knowledge and provide support to new team members, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen and 6S activities, to enhance quality, safety and efficiency.
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

Experience assembling complex manufactured products within a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.

Confidence using hand tools, clamps and assembly equipment.

A practical, hands-on approach with a strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.

The ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage workload effectively.

Good written English skills, with the ability to read and accurately follow work instructions.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic and a reliable approach to attendance and timekeeping.

A willingness to learn, develop new skills and, during your initial training period, travel to another company site if required.
What we offer

Salary of £29,848 per annum

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (typically 9:00am - 5:00pm however can be slightly flexible)
