Connect Appointments is recruiting Assembly Operatives to join an established Oldham-based manufacturer.
Our client is an innovative manufacturing business producing specialist products across a range of sectors, including pharmaceutical, telecoms and food infrastructure.

- Ongoing temporary opportunity
- Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm
- £12.71 per hour - paid weekly
Working as an Assembly Operative, your duties will include:
- Assemble sheet metal cabinets and other fabricated products using engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Use hand tools, battery-powered tools, and air-powered tools safely and effectively
- Fit and install components such as panels, doors, hinges, locks, handles, brackets, and fixings
- Check products as you work to make sure they meet quality standards before moving to the next stage
- Carry out visual inspections and report any faults, defects, or damaged parts
- Keep your work area clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Work to production targets while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE
- Contribute ideas and support improvements to help make processes more efficient
- Help with packing and preparing finished products for dispatch when required
The ideal Assembly Operative will have:
- Previous experience operating a press brake machine
- A keen eye for detail and a quality-focused approach to production
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive and proactive attitude
