£30,000 rising to £32,000 following probation
Future Prospects group are proud to partnering with an award-winning business to appoint an Assembly Technician on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role:
As part of a small but busy team, you will assist in the manufacture of the company's bespoke products, ensuring the highest quality solutions possible. Key duties will include:
Programming:
- Check and configure programming on our PLC’s
- Work with our engineering team to support programming queries from our engineering team.
Assembly:
- Assembly of the electrical wiring in control panels (PLC).
- Assembly of the plumbing in the company's control panels (training given).
- Assembly of all mechanical and electrical equipment, using the correct hand tools in a safe and correct manner.
- Prepare and pack all equipment to suit the production schedule.
Quality
- Testing and monitoring of equipment prior to delivery to the highest quality standards.
- Assembly of all products to the highest quality standards ensuring customer satisfaction and ease of commissioning for engineers.
Health & Safety
- Keeping standard of Health & Safety high in the workshop areas, wearing PPE as dictated by the Health and Safety Policy.
- Recycle / dispose of waste and packaging in and environmentally friendly way.
- Load and offload equipment from delivery vehicles either by hand or using the forklift in a correct and safe manner.
Stock Preparation
- Answer all incoming enquiries be they calls or emails, to the manufacturing department.
- Assist with stock taking and understand the importance of accuracy for this task.
- Accept incoming deliveries, check and unpack and store in the correct area of the workshop.
The Candidate:
The ideal Assembly Technician will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Electrical engineering qualification to BTEC Level 3 or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years working in a electrical engineering / manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with all areas of electrics, pumps, and control systems
- Computer literate with a knowledge of Microsoft Packages
- PLC System Development experience
- GCSE Maths and English a minimum of Grade C/5 or above
- A full UK driving license
The Benefits:
- Monday to Friday working pattern, 8.30am - 5pm.
- Competitive starting salary of £30,000 per annum for a Level 3 qualified candidate with relevant programming experience, rising to £32,000 following completion of 6 months successful service.
