Assembly Operative

Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking an experienced Assembly Operator to join our well-established clients based in Worcestershire, a leading manufacturer of complex and safety-critical engineering parts for the defence and transport sector.

The successful candidate will play a key role in using their technical ability and hands on skills to assemble components and be able to work from technical drawings The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assemble products and components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment according to technical specifications.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure standards are met.
• Follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures at all times
• Have knowledge of and the ability to read technical drawings
• Finish products to company quality standards
• Work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Adhoc duties as required from time to time.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in assembly, production or in a manufacturing environment is essential
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding assembly processes
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive team player

Salary: up to £13.48 per hour DOE + Company Benefits

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 17:15, Friday 07:45 - 13:00

Temporary to Permanent Contract.
