We are recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a fantastic client of ours within the retail industry. 

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, practical work, has excellent attention to detail and would like to learn a specialist skill within an established and supportive team.

The right attitude, good dexterity and a willingness to learn are key. Full training will be provided.

The Role: 

Working as part of the assembly team, you will be responsible for helping to build and prepare high-quality equipment to the required specifications.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
  • Assembling and building items to individual specifications
  • Working with small components, tools and specialist equipment
  • Measuring, fitting and preparing different components accurately
  • Carrying out careful, detailed assembly work
  • Checking finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Following build instructions and specifications
  • Keeping your workstation clean, organised and safe
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
  • Learning different aspects of the building process as your experience develops

  • Dexterous and good with their hands – this role involves detailed, precise assembly work
  • Able to work accurately and pay close attention to detail
  • Practical and comfortable using tools
  • Patient and able to concentrate on repetitive or intricate tasks
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Keen to learn and develop new skills
  • A good team player with a positive attitude
  • Able to follow instructions and work to set specifications
  • Quality-focused and takes pride in their work
Previous assembly, production, manufacturing, workshop or hands-on experience is essential.
