iSQ Recruitment is supporting an innovative UK engineering and manufacturing business with the search for a Assembly Technician to join its growing operations team.
  
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased technician with electrical knowledge who enjoys precision assembly, problem solving and working with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology. The role focuses on building and testing electric motors within an advanced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and disassemble electric motors to engineering specifications
  • Build and support the assembly of inverters and Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
  • Change over motors and components on production test rigs
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and electronic work instructions
  • Record build progress, inspection results and test data using electronic documentation systems
  • Work alongside Engineering to support prototype builds and research & development projects
  • Manufacture or modify components using workshop tooling where required

Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, precision assembly or manufacturing within an engineering environment
  • Electrical knowledge with confidence using equipment such as multimeters and insulation testers
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using a variety of hand and power tools safely and accurately
  • Full UK driving licence
