Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an experienced Asset Data and Assurance Manager to lead asset data and asset management activities across a complex estate portfolio.
Working closely with technical and operational teams, you'll ensure consistency across processes, systems, and reporting while supporting effective service delivery, robust asset governance, and high levels of client satisfaction.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced asset management professional to oversee the delivery of asset management activities, drive continuous improvement, and ensure asset data remains accurate, compliant, and aligned with industry best practice.
You'll collaborate with technical operations, compliance, CAFM, and account management teams to develop asset management strategies, improve data quality, and support long-term lifecycle planning across the estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of asset management activities in line with contractual and business requirements, including asset registers, asset tagging, CAFM uploads, and maintenance plans.
- Develop and enhance asset management services to maximise the value and performance of client assets.
- Lead the development and maintenance of asset management documentation, including Asset Management Plans (AMPs), Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMPs), policies, objectives, and associated procedures.
- Oversee contractors and ensure asset management activities align with ISO 55001 requirements, preparing asset management reports and risk analyses.
- Ensure maintenance procedures are aligned with manufacturer recommendations or SFG20 standards.
- Coordinate and maintain the Forward Maintenance Register (FMR), supporting a rolling five-year programme of maintenance and asset replacement.
- Ensure the asset database within the CAFM system remains accurate, up to date, and managed through approved governance and change control processes.
- Lead asset class strategies, working collaboratively with technical, CAFM, and operational teams to improve asset classification, categorisation, and documentation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Experience within Technical Services in a building services environment, ideally within an integrated facilities management setting.
- Proven experience in a similar asset management or asset data leadership role.
- The ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong team-working and collaboration abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A sound understanding of the commercial aspects of engineering contracts.
- A full UK driving licence (car or car allowance provided).
