We are recruiting on behalf of a North London Council for an experienced Asset Data & Valuation Project Lead. This role is crucial for overseeing the development and management of the Council's asset register, ensuring accurate valuations and data integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, fixed asset registers, and data systems like MRIQ or Consherto.
Asset Data & Valuation Project Lead
Day rate: Negiotable
Location: North London
Job Type: Hybrid (12 to 18 months contract)
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead a focused programme to repair, standardise, and future-proof the Council's fixed asset register.
- Develop and implement a single source of truth for land and buildings, including all necessary details like UPRNs, addresses, tenure, and valuation bases.
- Undertake detailed data discovery, cleansing, reconciliation, and evidence gathering for the asset register.
- Define project scope, milestones, and success measures, ensuring alignment with statutory valuation timelines.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and oversee the overview of assets to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Procure and implement a new database system for asset management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management, particularly with fixed asset registers and data systems.
- Knowledge of local authority accounting standards (CIPFA Code) and RICS Red Book valuation.
- Experience with data governance, change delivery, and data systems such as MRIQ or Consherto.
- Ability to manage complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Strong planning and execution skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
