Asset Delivery Surveyor

Are you an experienced Building Surveyor or Project Surveyor looking to manage a diverse portfolio of capital investment projects while making a real difference to customers' homes?

We're looking for an Asset Delivery Surveyor to join a forward-thinking Property & Place team, delivering planned investment programmes and capital projects across a varied housing portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage projects from inception through to completion while working with contractors, consultants and customers to deliver high-quality homes and outstanding customer service.

About the Role

Reporting to the Asset Delivery Manager, you'll take responsibility for delivering planned investment and capital works projects, ensuring schemes are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working across multiple projects, you'll oversee contractors on site, monitor performance and ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage capital investment and planned maintenance projects from inception through to final account.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
• Carry out site inspections to monitor quality, programme, safety and compliance.
• Manage contractors, consultants and supply chain partners to deliver excellent project outcomes.
• Monitor project budgets, valuations, variations and payment certificates.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, Planning requirements, Party Wall legislation and asbestos regulations.
• Produce project reports, monitor KPIs and provide accurate performance information.
• Work closely with customers, leaseholders and residents, ensuring excellent communication throughout project delivery.
• Resolve technical issues and provide professional advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement and collaborative working across the Property & Place team.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience managing planned maintenance, capital investment or refurbishment projects.
• Strong project management skills within housing, construction or property.
• Experience writing specifications, tender documentation and managing contractors.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM Regulations, Party Wall legislation and Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong financial awareness with experience managing project budgets and delivering value for money.
• Excellent report writing, IT and analytical skills.
• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Building Surveying, Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• SMSTS (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
