Working closely with the Financial Accountant, you’ll gain hands-on experience across management accounts, month-end, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, payroll, audit, and statutory accounting, while partnering with stakeholders across the business. With plenty of support, ongoing development and study support available, this is the ideal role for someone eager to accelerate their career and develop into a well-rounded accountant within a successful and growing business.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Prepare month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Support the month-end close process and help improve reporting accuracy.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Produce regular financial reports and provide analysis to support business decisions.
  • Support profitability and performance analysis across the business.
  • Assist with cash flow reporting and day-to-day banking activities.
  • Contribute to payroll administration and related reconciliations.
  • Support VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with year-end accounts preparation and external audit activities.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

About You

  • Studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or looking to begin a professional qualification.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams
