MNB Precision is seeking a proactive Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting our finance function.

The key responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant role will include:

• Accounts Payable support
• General Ledger maintenance
• Assisting with management accounts and reconciliations
• Banking activities and cash management
• Fixed asset management
• Stock accounting and control
• VAT return preparation
• Ad hoc analytical investigations and reporting

What we’re looking for as an Assistant Accountant:

Essential:

• AAT Level 4 qualified or currently studying
• Strong Excel skills (data analysis, reporting, etc.)
• Previous experience in a similar accounting role
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with accruals, prepayments and journal postings
• Balance sheet reconciliations experience
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail

Desirable (but not essential):

• Consolidation experience
• Exposure to year-end audits
• Intercompany accounting knowledge
• Stock accounting experience
• VAT return experience
• Multi-currency exposure
• Experience using Sage 50 and/or Factory Master
