Assistant Building Surveyor

A multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their London team. The building surveyor will work on a mix of projects including new build, refurbishments, maintenance, and alterations. The building surveyor will deliver surveys, prepare reports, and advise clients on actions required.This role is ideal for a building surveyor looking to broaden their experience and take ownership of projects in a supportive team environment.

The Role
As the building surveyor you will work alongside senior colleagues to support project delivery. The role will include:

• Undertaking building surveys, producing reports and recommendations

• Managing project documentation, budgets, and programmes

• Coordinating with design teams and contractors

• Undertaking contract administration

• Supporting professional services including condition surveys, measured surveys, and dilapidations

The Assistant Building Surveyor?
You will be a motivated and committed individual with a background in building surveying. Applications from candidates without construction-related experience will not be considered.

The Assistant Building Surveyor must have:

• A degree in Building Surveying or a relevant property discipline

• Experience in professional services or project management

• Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with clients

• Confidence working in multidisciplinary teams

• Awareness of industry standards and current practices
