• Assist in managing supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries and quality standards are met.
• Monitor stock levels and place purchase orders as required to maintain inventory.
• Analyse sales trends to forecast purchasing needs and support decision-making.
• Collaborate with the wider retail team to align buying strategies with business goals.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier details.
• Contribute to product selection and sourcing initiatives to meet market demands.
• Support cost-saving initiatives by negotiating with suppliers for the best terms.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all purchasing activities.

Profile

A successful Assistant Buyer should have:

• Previous experience in a retail or purchasing environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills to manage stock and purchasing data effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.
• A keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement processes.
