Assistant Commercial Manager | Cambridge | £35,000 - £55,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join a growing technology business and play a key role in supporting commercial activity across a global customer and partner network.
This is an incremental role offering the opportunity to develop your commercial career within a complex, international technology environment. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will support the business across contracts, commercial risk, bids, compliance and stakeholder management.
The Role
You will operate across a broad range of commercial activities, working with customers, partners, suppliers and internal teams. The role would suit someone who is commercially minded, intellectually curious and comfortable working with complex information and ambiguity.
Key responsibilities will include:
+Drafting and reviewing a range of commercial agreements, including partner agreements, NDAs, teaming agreements and software licences.
+Managing a portfolio of partner agreements throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, obligations and governance.
+Supporting the onboarding and due diligence of new partners.
+Providing commercial support across live contracts, including contract changes, performance monitoring and risk management.
+Supporting new business activity and bids, working closely with internal technical and subject matter experts.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in commercial, contractual and business matters, who is keen to develop their career within a technology-led organisation.
You will ideally have:
+A degree in Law, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
+Knowledge of contract management, commercial practices and risk management
+A good understanding of contract law and its practical application.
+Confidence conducting legal or commercial research into complex issues.
+An understanding of basic business finance, including P&L, margin and markup
+Awareness of areas such as competition law, procurement regulations, intellectual property and export controls.
+An understanding of international sanctions and compliance requirements.
Professional qualifications such as GDL/LPC, IACCM or CIPS would be advantageous.
