Are you highly organised, detail-focused and looking for a role where your work directly supports students through important examination periods?

This is a varied role involving everything from candidate entries and examination arrangements through to results, certificates and administration. You'll need to be organised, calm under pressure and comfortable working to strict deadlines where accuracy and confidentiality are essential.

What you'll do
  • Support the organisation and administration of annual examination series and student entries.
  • Provide advice and respond to queries from students and staff about examinations and entries.
  • Support the administration of external examinations in line with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
  • Disseminate examination regulations, guidance and training materials to relevant staff.
  • Assist with examination timetabling, rooming, seating and invigilation arrangements.
  • Support the secure receipt, storage and handling of examination papers and materials.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operation of examinations across College sites.
  • Support candidates and invigilators with special examination arrangements.
  • Check completed scripts and attendance registers and arrange the secure dispatch of scripts.
  • Assist with the organisation and administration of results, certificates and results queries.
  • Maintain accurate candidate results and records.
  • Monitor and organise the invoicing of candidates who are absent from examinations.
What we're looking for
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
  • The ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure, particularly during peak examination periods.
  • Experience of working with confidential or sensitive information and an understanding of data protection.
  • A positive, flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Level 2 English and Maths.
  • Level 2 ICT or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of working in an examinations environment is desirable, as is knowledge of exam board structures, specifications and entry procedures.
