Pardoe Wray is delighted to partner with a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, based in the Cambridgeshire area, dedicated to delivering efficient warehousing, transportation, distribution, and supply chain solutions.

Our client is hiring for an Assistant General Manager (AGM) who will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the logistics business, ensuring operational efficiency, service excellence, compliance, and profitability. This role supports the General Manager in managing teams, improving processes, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in the overall management of warehouse, transportation, and logistics operations.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Assist in managing budgets, costs, and operational KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop operational teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities between operations, customer service, transportation, and inventory teams.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues, customer concerns, and service disruptions.
  • Support business growth initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain operations.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a 3PL environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
