Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for residents, dealing with tenancy, leasehold and housing management enquiries.
- Support residents to maintain their independence through regular wellbeing contacts and referrals to appropriate internal and external support services.
- Assist with lettings, customer inductions, viewings and void management.
- Support the management of tenancy-related matters, including anti-social behaviour, tenancy sustainment and customer advice.
- Carry out weekly and monthly health and safety inspections, fire safety checks and compliance monitoring across schemes.
- Manage and test social alarm systems, responding appropriately to emergency alarm activations.
- Assess residents' wellbeing and identify changing support needs through ongoing risk assessments and welfare monitoring.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, partner agencies and external organisations.
- Encourage resident involvement through community events and engagement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records using internal IT systems and ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard.
- Provide cover across other independent living schemes as required.
- Experience delivering customer-focused services.
- An understanding of housing management or transferable experience within housing, care or community services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience carrying out risk assessments or supporting vulnerable customers (desirable).
- An understanding of safeguarding, equality and health & safety principles.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business use.
- Willingness to travel across multiple schemes when required.
- Ability to work independently in a lone-working environment.
- Flexibility to provide occasional out-of-hours emergency support if required.
- Enhanced DBS check.
