Assistant Management Accountant – About The Role

In this role you will be working within a finance team of 10 and will be reporting into the Finance Manager. You will be overseeing 2 members of staff and your key responsibilities will be:

• Supporting the preparation of management accounts for 4 entities
• Support with balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
• Raising sales invoices and monitoring outstanding debtors
• Completing daily bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cash records
• Preparing weekly payment runs
• Reconciling supplier, customer and inter-company accounts
• Managing petty cash and company credit card reconciliation
• Overseeing 2 members of staff and providing regular support
• Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will have:

• Previous experience in a similar position
• Be actively studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA
• Experience in using Xero is desirable  
• Strong attention to detail
