A well-established construction consultancy in London is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to work on a diverse portfolio of developments while progressing their career within a supportive and professional consultancy.

The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with experienced Project Managers and senior consultants, supporting projects from inception through to completion. The successful Assistant Project Manager will take on increasing responsibility, work directly with clients and contractors, and receive the support needed to progress into a Project Manager position.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.



The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of commercial and residential construction projects across London, assisting with every stage of the project lifecycle.

The Assistant Project Manager will help coordinate consultants, contractors, and stakeholders while supporting project planning, programme management, procurement, reporting, contract administration, and risk management. They will attend client and site meetings, monitor project progress, prepare project documentation, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

This role offers excellent exposure to high-quality commercial developments, providing the successful Assistant Project Manager with the opportunity to develop their technical knowledge and client-facing experience.



The Assistant Project Manager

The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:

  • Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Graduate Project Manager
  • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a similar construction-related discipline
  • Working towards MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
  • A good understanding of JCT contracts and construction project delivery
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive attitude and ambition to progress within project management
