An established and highly regarded construction contractor is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across the region.

The Role

You'll assist with the coordination and delivery of several projects simultaneously, supporting Project Managers to ensure programmes, budgets and quality standards are achieved. The role offers exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle and genuine opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the management of multiple live construction projects across a regional portfolio.
  • Assisting with planning, programming and project reporting.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
  • Monitoring progress against programme and project milestones.
  • Supporting commercial and contractual administration.
  • Attending client, design and site meetings.
  • Promoting high standards of health, safety and quality.
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

About You

We're keen to speak with individuals who are organised, proactive and looking to develop within a successful main contractor environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience supporting the delivery of construction projects.
  • Strong planning and programme management skills with the ability to keep multiple workstreams moving.
  • A construction-related qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A practical understanding of construction processes and site operations.
  • Current CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid certification.
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across regional project locations, with occasional overnight stays where project requirements dictate.

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be based from a regional office in Suffolk when not attending project sites or client meetings. Projects are predominantly located across the East of England and neighbouring regions, offering a varied workload and regular site exposure.

Package

  • £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
