OCS are currently working with an established specialist construction business with extensive experience across groundworks, civil engineering and reinforced concrete structures, with an increasingly strong presence across the European data-centre market.
The business has been operating across Europe since 2017 and has successfully delivered data-centre projects in Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark, working on technically demanding schemes for major clients.
Due to continued growth and a strong European project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Belgium.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their project management career within the fast-growing data-cententre sector.
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will support the successful delivery of the project while gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Project Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the project
  • Assisting with programme planning and monitoring
  • Coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades
  • Supporting project meetings and progress reporting
  • Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays
  • Assisting with project documentation and reporting
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction information
  • Supporting the coordination of site activities
  • Working closely with engineering, commercial and H&S teams
  • Assisting with quality control and project compliance
  • Supporting the management of subcontractor performance
  • Helping to resolve technical and operational issues
  • Maintaining project records and documentation
  • Supporting the Project Manager through to successful completion and handover

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience within construction or civil engineering
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial or data-centre projects would be advantageous
  • A good understanding of construction programmes and project delivery
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and site activities
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good technical understanding of construction
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take responsibility
  • The ability to work effectively within a busy project environment
  • A willingness to work internationally
