Assistant Quality Manager

Location: Staffordshire (office/site-based) Salary: £37,000 per annum Contract: 6 Months Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm Start Date: ASAP

We are recruiting for an Assistant Quality Manager to join a busy highways and infrastructure contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in highways, construction or a similar environment who has a keen eye for detail and enjoys maintaining high standards of quality.

### The Role

Working alongside the Quality Manager, you will help ensure that work carried out on-site meets the required quality standards. You will carry out inspections, record findings, maintain quality records and work closely with operational teams to support continuous improvement.

### Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality inspections on completed and ongoing works.
  • Visit sites to ensure work has been completed to the required standard.
  • Record inspection findings accurately and take photographic evidence where required.
  • Update quality records and spreadsheets.
  • Produce simple inspection reports.
  • Highlight quality issues and assist with follow-up actions.
  • Work with operational teams to improve quality standards.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Follow all health, safety and quality procedures.

### About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Experience within highways, construction or a similar industry. Excellent attention to detail. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong communication skills. A full UK driving licence.

It would be beneficial if you also have:

Experience carrying out site inspections. Knowledge of highway maintenance standards. Previous quality assurance or auditing experience.

£37,000 per annum. Six-month contract with an immediate start. Monday to Friday working pattern. Opportunity to work on a major highways maintenance contract with a supportive team.
