Assistant Quality Manager

A leading global fresh produce business is seeking an experienced Assistant Quality Manager to join its UK operation and play a key role in delivering quality, consistency and operational excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technical professional who understands fresh produce quality, ripening processes and the importance of making data-led decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day quality and ripening operations across site
• Manage ripening plans, stock decisions and quality performance
• Lead and coach shopfloor teams to deliver operational KPIs
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement
• Work closely with Production, Technical and Quality teams to resolve issues quickly

About you:

• Experienced in a Fresh Produce Technical or Quality role
• Strong understanding of quality standards, shelf-life and ripening processes
• Confident analysing data and turning insights into action
• A proactive team leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment
• Comfortable making decisions and managing operational priorities
