Our client, a growing and well-established construction contractor, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based at their head office in Sevenoaks.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within Quantity Surveying. Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, you will gain exposure to a variety of projects across London, West Malling and Sittingbourne, supporting the commercial delivery of projects from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the commercial management of multiple construction projects across London, West Malling and Sittingbourne.
- Support the preparation of budgets, cost plans and financial forecasts.
- Measure works and assist with interim valuations.
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, tender analysis and contract administration.
- Monitor project costs, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Support the preparation of monthly cost reports and forecasts.
- Assist with the assessment and processing of subcontractor applications for payment.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.
- Liaise with site managers, project managers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist with the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline.
- Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying role, including placements, apprenticeships or graduate positions, is advantageous.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good understanding of construction processes and commercial principles.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive, motivated and eager to develop professionally.
- Ability to manage workloads across multiple projects.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites.
