Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Overview:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the day-to-day financial control, reporting, and commercial performance management of a Planned Works contract. The wider framework includes a Repairs and Voids contract, giving you strong exposure to the full commercial lifecycle.

You will work closely with the Lead Quantity Surveyor, assisting with cash management to ensure the contract runs smoothly. This includes timely application/certification/invoicing/payment and careful administration of subcontract accounts, helping maintain accurate reporting and commercial performance.

Duties:

We’re looking for candidates with previous experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within the Social Housing sector. You will have a strong understanding of Repairs & Maintenance (R&M) contracts and be confident supporting key commercial activities, including:

• Paying subcontractors accurately and on time
• Processing and supporting client invoicing
• Maintaining robust subcontract account administration

Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) project experience/knowledge is highly desirable.

You’ll be commercially aware, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities. You should enjoy working collaboratively with operational and financial teams to support successful delivery and strong contract performance.

Skills:

• NVQ Level 4 in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) - Essential
• CSCS Card (White) or working towards - Desirable
