Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering – Leicester – £40k–£60k + Package

Ready for a role where you can start running your own projects rather than always assisting someone else?

I’m working with a privately owned civil engineering contractor in Leicester who is looking for an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join them as a significant amount of new work starts over the coming months.

The company has been established for decades and delivers highways, infrastructure and groundworks schemes across the Midlands for Local Authorities, developers and national housebuilders. A large proportion of their workload comes through repeat clients and, with turnover expected to grow beyond £30m, they have a healthy pipeline of projects coming through without losing the feel of a relatively close-knit business.

They’re deliberately keeping the level fairly open. You might be an Assistant QS with a few years behind you who feels ready for more responsibility, or already operating at Intermediate level and looking for somewhere you can run your own schemes. You’ll initially work alongside experienced Senior QSs, but the intention is to give you commercial responsibility for smaller projects as quickly as your experience allows, with support there when you need it.

Salary is between £40k and £60k depending on where you currently sit in your career, alongside a company car/car allowance, discretionary bonus, 26 days holiday and a wider benefits package. More importantly, there is a clear opportunity to develop with a growing contractor rather than having to wait for somebody above you to move before your own career can progress.
