Assistant Quantity Surveyor

THE COMPANY:

I am currently recruiting on behalf of an established Employee-Owned Trust main contractor based in Maidenhead, with a turnover of approximately £60 million and ambitious plans for continued growth.

The business is currently growing by around £10 million year on year, making this an exciting time to join the company as it continues to expand its project portfolio and team.

Their projects are predominantly traditional-build schemes, ranging in value up to £20 million, with an average project value of around £8 million. The workload is varied, covering sectors including Social Housing, Education and specialist ongoing works for some of the UK's best-known film studios – giving employees the opportunity to work on projects connected with globally recognised productions such as James Bond and Marvel.

The company has built an excellent reputation for looking after its people and developing careers from within. This is demonstrated by their exceptional staff retention, with two of their current Quantity Surveyors having been with the business for more than 25 years.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work across Bracknell, Woking and Farnborough, they are now looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team within that Geographical patch.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Surveyor who is looking for more than simply their next job. From day one, you will be mentored and supported by experienced members of the commercial team, with a clear and structured career path designed to help you progress towards becoming a fully-fledged Quantity Surveyor.

You will receive regular coaching and guidance, but this is not a micromanaged environment. The aim is to give you the support you need while allowing you to develop your own confidence, commercial judgement and independence.

THE PERSON:

The company is looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is genuinely looking to build a long-term career within main contracting.

You need to working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, ideally between 2-3 years with either a main contractor, or specialist sub-contractor and looking for an employer who will invest in your development.
