A fantastic opportunity for a commercial professional with JCT contract knowledge to join a family-run main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality construction projects. You join a growing business working on a variety of projects with clear plans for the future.

Are you a Quantity Surveyor with construction experience looking to further develop your commercial skills? Do you want to be part of a supportive team where your work is valued and progression is genuinely achievable?

Established almost a century ago this principal contractor work on residential and commercial projects. This company offer stability, hence them surviving multiple economies but spotting gaps in the market and capitalising for growth. They have several new residential developments and are looking to expand their commercial team.

In this role, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from early cost planning through to final accounts. Working within a well-structured team, you will oversee cost control, procurement, and financial reporting while occasionally visiting project sites across the Herefordshire region.

The ideal candidate will have strong JCT contract knowledge and experience pricing for residential projects. You will have strong communication and organisational skills and be motivated to develop your career.

The role

• Managing cost control across residential and commercial construction projects
• Producing bills of quantities and assisting with procurement of subcontract packages
• Preparing monthly valuations, cost reports, and CVRs
• Managing projects through to final accounts

The person

• Quantity Surveying background within construction
• Experience working with JCT contracts
• Experience on residential and/or commercial projects
• Full UK driving licence and commutable to Leominster
