Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

A growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Bridgwater.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a supportive environment, working on a range of highways, surfacing, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with valuations, variations, payments, and final accounts.
• Support the preparation of cost reports, forecasts, and CVRs.
• Help manage subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Assist with procurement and commercial administration.
• Monitor project costs and support cost control activities.
• Work closely with commercial and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.

About You

• Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Previous experience within construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure is desirable.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Eager to learn, develop, and progress within a commercial role.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
