Our client is a well-established and highly respected construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major cladding remediation project for the London Borough of Ealing.

The Role

Working closely with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of a significant cladding remediation scheme in West London. You will gain exposure to all aspects of quantity surveying while supporting the successful financial management of the project from inception through to completion.

Key responsibilities include

• Assisting with subcontractor procurement and package management
• Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Supporting cost reporting and forecasting activities
• Reviewing subcontractor applications and payments
• Assisting with contract administration and documentation
• Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks
• Liaising with site teams, clients, and subcontractors
• Supporting the commercial team in ensuring projects are delivered within budget

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry
• Experience working on residential, refurbishment, remediation, façade, or cladding projects would be advantageous
• Degree qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive attitude and desire to progress within a successful contractor
