🧱 The Opportunity

You’ll report directly to Commercial Manager Lee Concannon, an experienced commercial professional whose knowledge will be a valuable resource as you develop.

For someone early in their career, that relationship matters. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, understand the reasoning behind commercial decisions and build the judgement that comes with practical experience.

The role will involve supporting the commercial team across key areas of project delivery, with responsibilities expected to include:

• Assisting with subcontractor enquiries, tender comparisons and procurement
• Supporting valuations, applications for payment and subcontractor payments
• Measuring works and preparing quantities
• Helping identify, record and assess variations
• Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting and budget management
• Working closely with site teams to understand progress and commercial priorities
• Supporting final accounts and maintaining accurate commercial records

As your experience and confidence develop, the aim is to build your ability to take on greater commercial responsibility.

✅ Who We’re Looking For

You might already be an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for a stronger development opportunity, or a Trainee Quantity Surveyor ready to move forward.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Practical quantity surveying experience within construction
• A relevant qualification, or ongoing studies in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• Strong numerical skills and careful attention to detail
• Good Excel skills and an organised approach to your work
• The confidence to communicate with colleagues, subcontractors and site teams
• Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to get involved

You won’t be expected to know everything on day one. What matters is that you want to learn, take pride in your work and contribute to the team.
