Assistant Site Manager

An award-winning North East housebuilder is looking for an experienced and motivated assistant site manager. The successful candidate is required for 1 week holiday cover down in Darlington, working alongside the Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of housing units to programme, budget, and quality standards

• Work alongside the Site Manager in the day-to-day management of the housing development.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site operatives.
• Monitor construction progress against programme and report on any delays or issues.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure homes are delivered to the highest standards.
• Support site inductions, toolbox talks, and health and safety audits.
• Assist with maintaining site records, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure materials and resources are available and effectively managed.
• Support customer care and defect management processes where required.
• Promote a positive site culture focused on safety, quality, and productivity.

Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a manager in New Build Housing
• Strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, used to working with clerk of works and the client
• Relevant qualifications SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid are essential

Remuneration:

• £26.00 per hour
